Jakarta, October 25, 2024 – Gunung Mas Group (GMG), a company engaged in mining and hauling contracting, with a focus on nickel mining, participated in webinar from TransTRACK entitled “Exploration of Mine Safety Technology,” which was held on October 24, 2024. The speakers who attended this webinar were Adrian Wisnuputro, General Manager Operation of GMG, and Tita Haryanti, Product Trainer from IT Team TransTRACK.
In this session, Adrian Wisnuputro emphasized GMG’s commitment to occupational safety and health (HSE), by always meeting set requirements. He explained the importance of identifying potential hazards and how to manage those risks. One of the hazard identification measures taken by GMG is by adding tools to avoid hazards, as well as implementing regular SOPs, physical training, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The webinar also discussed the use of advanced technology in improving safety, including TransTRACK devices installed on dump trucks. Features such as the fatigue camera and buzzer were highlighted, with the camera facing the driver to identify fatigue and potential incidents. “With this feature, if an incident occurs, we can conduct an evaluation based on fatigue data,” Adrian explained.
Gunung Mas Group has chosen to use TransTRACK since 2023 because the product offers a simple yet helpful solution. “With its quick response and competitive pricing, TransTRACK became Gunung Mas Group choice. Its AI sophistication allows real-time monitoring of dump truck units, which is crucial given the long distances traveled and higher risks,” he added.
The success of the safety program at GMG is also supported by a reward and punishment system. “We implement strict safety KPIs and fleet management. If there are no accidents in a month and all procedures are carried out properly, there will be awards for the team,” Adrian said.
This webinar is part of TransTRACK’s efforts to introduce technology solutions that can help the mining industry improve work safety, and reduce the risk of accidents in the field.
Gunung Mas Group is committed to continuing to innovate and utilize technology in an effort to improve safety standards in the mining industry.
