Jakarta, February 21, 2025 – TransTRACK together with Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia (HCMI) successfully held a webinar titled “Green Innovation and Technology in Construction”. The webinar discussed innovative measures implemented in the heavy equipment industry to achieve carbon neutrality and improve operational efficiency.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia (HCMI), as a heavy equipment manufacturing company that has been operating since 1991, continues to adapt to government policies and market demands in reducing carbon emissions. One of the significant efforts made is the transition from diesel fuel to B30 and B35. This is in line with HCMI’s target to reduce carbon emissions by 4.6% per year until 2030.
In this webinar, Andrianto Hasani, HCMI Assistant Manager – Sustainability Promotion Section, emphasized that HCMI’s responsibility towards carbon emission is not only limited to the production stage, but also covers the entire supply chain. To achieve carbon neutrality, HCMI implements strategies to reduce CO2 emissions, prevent new emissions, and utilize carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology.
One of the solutions proposed in this webinar is the use of a vehicle management system from TransTRACK. With features such as GPS, automatic scheduling, idle time monitoring, and electric vehicle (EV) battery power monitoring, TransTRACK helps companies reduce fuel consumption, improve operational efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions.
TransTRACK’s technology allows companies to optimize vehicle operations with various advanced features such as Real-time Monitoring, Fuel Monitoring System, and Driver Monitoring System. With these technologies, companies can identify fuel consumption patterns, reduce unnecessary idling time, and ensure vehicles operate at maximum efficiency. In addition, the notification feature and constantly monitored SOPs help the company in implementing more environmentally friendly driving practices.
In addition to technical efforts, HCMI also contributes to reforestation by planting mangroves for three years as a form of support to the government’s sustainability program. In addition, HCMI developed an automatic planting tool bucket planter that allows the reforestation process to be carried out more efficiently.
This webinar is expected to encourage the construction industry to be more oriented towards sustainability and technological innovation in order to achieve carbon-neutral targets in Indonesia. With the collaboration between TransTRACK and Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia (HCMI), the future of a more environmentally friendly heavy equipment industry can be realized.
