TransTRACK collaborates with Perbadanan Islam Johor (PIJ) Halal Ventures, Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS), and ESQ Halal Center to strengthen cross-border collaboration in halal certification, trade policy integration, and technology utilization to support transparency and traceability in the halal supply chain.
Jakarta, 27 May 2025 – As a digital solutions provider for fleet optimization and supply chain integration, TransTRACK continues to expand its presence in the regional halal sector. In collaboration with PIJ Halal Ventures, TransTRACK organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) themed “International Halal Industry Collaboration – Johor and Indonesia”. The discussion was attended by representatives from BPJPH, KNEKS, and ESQ Halal Center.
This FGD is an important forum to explore the harmonization of halal certification between countries, synchronization of halal trade policies, and exploration of the role of technology in strengthening trust in the halal product distribution chain. This initiative is part of the Johor State Government’s strategy through PHVSB in developing a national halal logistics monitoring system. This collaboration was strengthened through the signing of a Head of Agreement between PHVSB and TransTRACK in August 2024 for the development of Integrated Halal Logistics System (IHLS) and Halal Logistics Platform (HLP).
The prospect of a global halal economy estimated to reach USD 5 trillion by 2030 opens up great opportunities for Indonesia and Malaysia to emerge as key drivers in the global halal ecosystem.
Hari Setiawan, Chief Operating Officer of TransTRACK stated, “One of the important findings in this FGD is the understanding between Indonesia and Malaysia (especially the state of Johor) that halal certified products do not require recertification when entering partner countries, but simply go through the registration process. This is a breath of fresh air for halal industry players and opens up opportunities for efficiency in cross-border trade. Collaboration like this needs to be encouraged, including through MoU initiatives and halal auditor training offered by BPJPH.”

He added that TransTRACK will soon establish cooperation with halal logistics players in Indonesia. The presence of the Indonesian Halal Logistics Association (AHLI) board in the discussion strengthened the collaboration signal between Indonesia and Johor, Malaysia, in the halal logistics sector.
Co-founder and CTO of TransTRACK, Aris Pujud Kurniawan, highlighted the important role of technology in strengthening the halal ecosystem. “In terms of technology, we see that there is still room for real-time monitoring of halal logistics, even though halal fleets and warehouses are already available. There is no integrated system that can monitor the movement of halal goods and ensure that products are distributed correctly without contamination from other non-halal products. This is where TransTRACK comes in, as a system integrator that is able to bridge the needs of the industry and regulators in building a transparent, efficient and reliable halal logistics ecosystem.”

From the Johor side, Wan Aminudin Aminin bin Wan Sulaiman from PIJ Halal Ventures, emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation: “Hopefully the MoU between Johor and Indonesia can be done in the near future, because the relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia can both fight for the halal industry. So, goods from Malaysia can be enjoyed in Indonesia and goods from Indonesia can be enjoyed in Malaysia. We also hope that there will be a warehouse or distribution center for halal products that can be a link between Indonesia and Malaysia.”
This plan also supports the vision of the Malaysia Halal Industry Master Plan 2030 which targets cross-border integration in halal logistics development. The focus on the Johor SEZ area-which has the geographical advantage of being close to Singapore as well as advanced logistics facilities-is expected to be a key gateway for the establishment of a regional halal ecosystem connected to the global market.
This strategic move reflects TransTRACK’s commitment to be a key partner in building an international-standard halal logistics infrastructure, spanning the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and cross-border trade sectors.
