Jakarta, October 13, 2025 – Indonesia’s transportation and logistics industry is facing various major challenges amid the acceleration of digitalization and operational transformation of fleets. From the integration of new technologies and compliance with regulations to the limited availability of skilled workers, all of these factors require the presence of fleet engineers with technical competence and an understanding of modern systems.
Responding to these needs, TransTRACK Academy, a training institution under TransTRACK that focuses on developing professional competencies in the fields of transportation technology and fleet management, presents the Fleet Engineering training program. This program is part of TransTRACK Academy’s three main focuses, in addition to Digital Supply Chain and Computer Engineering, all of which are designed to improve human resource readiness for digital transformation through the use of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Analytics in the fleet and logistics sectors.
Responding to Fleet Industry Challenges
Every industrial sector in Indonesia faces different challenges in fleet management, especially in terms of technology and human resources. In the transportation and logistics sector, the adoption of IoT-based fleet management systems is still limited due to high costs and a lack of trained technical personnel. Meanwhile, in the mining and energy sectors, obstacles arise due to uneven digital infrastructure and a lack of operational data integration capabilities in the field.
“In modern fleet management systems, the role of fleet engineering is not only about vehicle technicalities, but also has a strategic contribution in maintaining operational continuity and business efficiency. This training is the right solution for the Indonesian transportation and logistics industry, which is facing various challenges amid the acceleration of digitalization,” said Anggia Meisesari, Founder & CEO of TransTRACK.
Anggia added that this training is expected to equip each participant with the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to support the operations of modern fleets across industries, such as logistics, shipping, aviation, and construction.
Program Pelatihan Fleet Engineering
According to Budi Santosa, Head of TransTRACK Academy, the Fleet Engineering – Basic training is part of TransTRACK’s commitment to improving the professionalism and competitiveness of the national transportation industry.
This class consists of eight sessions held once a week, with comprehensive material covering aspects of communication and administration, basic vehicle electricity, introduction to GPS trackers and sensors, use of work tools, device installation procedures, GPS applications and system integration, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance techniques.
“This program not only focuses on theory, but also provides hands-on experience in the field so that participants truly understand how the fleet management system works comprehensively,” explained Budi.
He also highlighted the competency gap among technicians as a major challenge in the field. “Many workers are still accustomed to conventional systems and are not yet familiar with digital technologies such as GPS, vehicle sensors, and fleet data analysis. Strengthening human resource capacity through technical training is an important step for the industry to adapt to digital transformation and improve fleet productivity in a sustainable manner,” he added.
Added Value and Career Opportunities
Each participant who completes the Fleet Engineering program will receive an official certificate of competency from TransTRACK Academy. Participants with the best performance will even have the opportunity to join the TransTRACK professional team, as long as they meet the company’s technical and work ethic standards.
“This opportunity paves the way for graduates to develop their careers in the fields of transportation technology and fleet management, as well as contribute directly to the creation of a more efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation system. Through this training, TransTRACK Academy not only improves individual competencies, but also helps build a superior human resource ecosystem that is ready to drive the advancement of Indonesia’s transportation and logistics industry in the digital era,” concluded Anggia.
