Jakarta (28/10/2024) – Universitas Katolik Parahyangan successfully organized a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) themed “Business Outlook Logistics and Construction Industry” virtually through the Zoom platform. The discussion was attended by important figures in the Indonesian logistics and construction industry, including Anggia Meisesari from TransTRACK, who was present as the main speaker. Anggia presented an important topic related to digitalization and technology implementation in fleet management that focuses on operational efficiency in the logistics and construction sectors.
In her presentation, Anggia discussed the topic “Digitalization for Improved Operational Efficiency, Transportation, and Logistics: Implementation of Fleet Telematics in the Construction Industry,” which was enthusiastically welcomed by the discussion participants. Anggia explained that telematics technology is one of the strategic solutions for the construction industry, especially in managing fleets efficiently, improving safety, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
TransTRACK, as a company that provides Fleet Management System (FMS) solutions, has designed a number of excellent features that focus on the needs of the construction and logistics sectors. One of the key features Anggia discussed was the Driver Monitoring System (DMS), which allows real-time monitoring of driver behavior. This feature is designed to detect risky driving patterns, such as driving too fast or signs of fatigue, which can then prevent accidents in the field. Through close monitoring of driver behavior, construction companies can ensure operational safety, reduce potential risks, and keep accident costs down.
Anggia also highlighted Route Optimization, an advanced system from TransTRACK that relies on telematics data to determine the most efficient route for material delivery to project sites. With this feature, construction companies can shorten travel time, save fuel, and reduce time spent on the road. This kind of efficiency is crucial for construction projects, especially those in remote locations with challenging road conditions, as it enables logistics to run faster and on schedule.
In addition, TransTRACK’s Truck Appointment System feature was also highlighted in Anggia’s presentation. This system allows construction companies to manage truck arrival schedules more effectively. Thus, coordination between trucks and monitoring of arrival times can be done properly, so that the required materials and equipment arrive on time. This organized arrangement helps to reduce waiting time and avoid delays that could hamper the project.
In addition, TransTRACK also introduces the Logistic Service Integrator which plays an important role in unifying the logistics process between departments in a construction project. This feature supports cross-divisional communication and collaboration, ensuring each unit works in sync. By connecting various aspects of logistics in one platform, construction projects can be executed more efficiently, transparently, and without significant obstacles.
The three-hour discussion opened new insights for stakeholders on the importance of digitization and implementation of fleet management technology in the logistics and construction sectors. Anggia’s participation on behalf of TransTRACK, with her experience and knowledge in telematics, made an important contribution in formulating strategies to improve performance and efficiency in both sectors.
The success of this FGD demonstrates the enthusiasm and commitment to continue innovating and improving the performance of the logistics and construction industries in Indonesia. Universitas Katolik Parahyangan hopes that this collaboration will be the foundation to face future logistics challenges and drive the transformation of a more efficient and competitive construction industry.
