TransTRACK Academy dan Bandung Techno Park Telkom University Resmikan Kemitraan Strategis untuk Percepatan Inovasi Berbasis Industri

The partnership aims to strengthen synergies between academia and industry, support product development, and prepare future generations of talent in the national transportation and logistics sector.

Bandung, September 8, 2025TransTRACK through TransTRACK Academy signed a Cooperation Agreement with Bandung Techno Park (BTP) Telkom University to run the research accelerator program. This step is a continuation of the previous MoU between TransTRACK and Telkom University which covers the fields of education, research, community service, and institutional development. Since the research collaboration began in April 2024, this collaboration has produced five innovative products, and is now expanded with a more strategic scope.

Through this collaboration, TransTRACK is committed to improving the quality of products and innovations to better suit market needs while minimizing the distance between academia and industry. This program is also an important effort in providing real solutions for various sectors with growing transportation and logistics activities, while preparing future human resources.

BTP acts as a liaison between Telkom University’s Center of Excellence (CoE) and the industrial world, ensuring that research results are not only academically valuable but also provide practical benefits to the business world. This collaboration is a manifestation of the seriousness of both parties in accelerating the transformation of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem through research-based innovation and sustainable technology.

The scope of the partnership includes TransTRACK’s contribution in developing innovations with BTP, financial support and assistance in the BTP Innovation Grant program, collaborative implementation of research products, and organizing various joint activities. Innovator lecturers from BTP Telkom University have the obligation to produce prototypes, usage guides, documentation, and product profile videos so that the commercialization process runs faster.

In this latest phase, TransTRACK supports five research topics for six months, including: Real-Time Driver Fatigue Detection System with Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Edge Computing Approaches; creation of Safeway, an Edge Computing-based Road Damage Detection Innovation; development of Logistics Route Optimization with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Telematics Data Analysis for Cost Efficiency and Timeliness; Improving the Capability of Artificial Intelligence-based Driver Fatigue Detection System with Edge Computing to Improve Transportation Safety and Efficiency; and designing a Reinforcement Learning-based Hybrid Algorithm for Adaptive Inventory Management.

Aris Pujud Kurniawan, CTO & Co-Founder of TransTRACK, said, “Collaboration with Telkom University through BTP is an important step in our mission to bridge research and industry. As an alumnus of Telkom University, this partnership also has personal meaning for me. We believe that this collaboration can bring real innovation that has a direct impact on the transportation and logistics sector.”

Dr. Iwan Iwut Tritoasmoro, Director of Bandung Techno Park – Telkom University, added, “Our mission is to ensure that academic research can be relevant to industry needs. With TransTRACK’s support and commitment, we are optimistic that this project will produce meaningful outcomes that directly benefit the transportation and logistics sector.”
